Pizzeria D'Guillo
About This Spot
Stepping up to Pizzeria D'Guillo, you might at first think you’ve come to someone’s home—and, in a way, you have. This family-run pizza takeaway in the heart of southern Manabí wears its warmth lightly, with a modest front patio transformed into a small, inviting spot where locals gather around a single table beneath a sheltering roof. The pace here is unhurried, the evening air filled with quiet conversation, the soft hum of community life folding around you.
The atmosphere is intimate rather than bustling, a tucked-away refuge from the wider world where the gestures feel familiar and unforced. The language barrier is no barrier at all; the menu helps make introductions, but it’s the genuine kindness and attentiveness of the staff that truly makes you feel welcome.
As you wait, you’ll notice how the pizzas arrive—generous with cheese and thoughtfully topped, striking a balance between doughy softness and a gently crisp edge. Whether you’re reaching for something classic or a vegetarian slice, each bite holds a quiet satisfaction that speaks of care and tradition. For those with a sweet tooth, the postres are a pleasant surprise. Rich, homey, and unapologetically comforting, they round out the experience with a touch of indulgence.
Pizzeria D'Guillo isn’t about flashy presentation or the rush of a busy dining scene; it’s about the shared moment—neighbors, travelers, and families convening over simple, honest food. Visit on a Wednesday evening if you want to enjoy a little extra company and a welcoming deal that encourages lingering, laughter, and a second slice.

Great pizza with a lot of cheese and plenty vegeterian options (even vegan one). Also they have deal on Wednesdays, 2 pizzas for 1. Currently they start working from 18:00.

It looks like someone's house when you walk by because it is. They covered their front patio into a lovely, one table three folding chair pizza place. Nobody speaks English but their menu does. The crust is a little doughy, a little crispy, and they're very generous with the toppings. The pizza is as good as it gets for rural Ecuador. If you're staying somewhere in the area I highly recommend stopping by for dinmer. Be warned, there is only one table so you'll likely wait to be seated! They do pickup or delivery for a small fee.

The pizza could use a bit higher-quality ingredients for most europeans propapbly. For south-american standards the pizza is very superb. A good go to if you want a nice evening with friends or a Pizza to go!!
